Please follow the instructions below to install your DealMaven Product(s). These instructions apply to all products (screenshots of specific products below are generically applicable). Please contact our support team if you require any assistance with your product installation.
Installation Instructions
- Verify that you have admin rights on the computer for which you plan to install DealMaven products. Full admin rights are required to install DealMaven products. If you don’t have full admin rights, please speak to your network administrator or IT department.
- Please close Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Click on the installation link in the product download e-mail sent to you by the DealMaven support team. Please contact support@dealmaven.com if you have not received your product download e-mail.
4. A browser window should open that looks like this:

Simply click “Install” and after a few moments your installation should begin. If you have ActiveX protection in your browser you may need to click on the yellow bar that appears below the address bar and select “Install ActiveX Control.” If your installation is working please skip to step #6.

5. If you are having difficulty installing your product with this method, please click on the “Alternate Download” link on the same page.

6. Save the .zip file to your desktop. After the file has finished downloading, open it and select “extract all files” to extract the installation files to a folder on your desktop as well. Then open the folder on your desktop where you extracted the files and double click the ‘Setup.exe’ file to begin your installation.

7. To install, simply follow the prompts and instructions which are listed below:
8. First, agree to the “End User License Agreement” by clicking “Yes”

9. Next, enter your name and the name of your company and choose whether you want the program to be installed only in your profile or for everyone who uses your computer. Then click “Next.”

10. Next, select which DealMaven products and features you want to install. If you wish to install everything, make sure all the check boxes are marked. Then click “Next”

NOTE: Depending on the product installation package you downloaded, some of the products displayed above may not be visible for you.
11. Next, select what country/keyboard configuration you are using to help determine Hot Key configuration. Click “Next” to continue.
12. Now you are ready to proceed with installation. Click “Next” to start the process.

13. If the installation was successful, you will receive a message to that effect and then you can click “Finish.” You are now finished with the installation and read to take advantage of our DealMaven productivity tools.
All DealMaven products that were installed need to be activated separately. Please see the DealMaven Product Installation instructions for detailed instructions on how to activate your products. New users automatically receive a 60-day free trial for all DealMaven products, and the software will warn you when your free trial is about to expire.

Additional Windows Vista Installation Steps
If the User Account Control is enabled on the Windows Vista machine, it will need to be disabled for the duration of the install in order to successfully complete the installation.
Steps to Disable User Account Control (UAC):
1. Open up Control Panel from the Start Menu, and type in user account into the search box.

2. You'll see the link for "Turn User Account Control (UAC) on or off". Click it.

3. Uncheck the box, and reboot your computer.
4. Download and run the installation program.
5. Restore the setting specified above to its original state.

FAQ
Why am I receiving an error message while trying to install DealMaven products?
Verify that you have admin rights on the computer to which you are installing DealMaven products. Full admin rights are required to install DealMaven products. If you don’t have full admin rights please speak to your computer administrator or IT department.
Why am I receiving a message telling me to close PowerPoint, Excel, or Word?


In order to install DealMaven products, all Microsoft Office products need to be completely closed. Please ensure that all Microsoft Office processes are not running. If you are still receiving this message after closing PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook, then a quick restart of your system will ensure that there are no hidden processes running and you should be able to proceed with the installation.

I have closed Word before installing, but the installer is telling me it’s still open, why is this?
Please ensure that Microsoft Outlook is not running or minimized in your tray. Outlook uses Word as its default e-mail editor, so in order to install DealMaven products, Outlook must be closed along with PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
