Free Resources Finance and Excel Tips Excel Shortcut Key List Please complete the following steps to register and obtain an activation code for your product. Please note that you must have an internet connection to complete the registration process. Please contact DealMaven if you do not have an internet connection, or if you require any assistance with your product activation / registration. 1. Please close Excel 2. Locate the email you received from DealMaven with the subject "Your download of DealMaven FastTrack v.3.4e is ready". Attached to the email will be a file named ‘FastTrackXL_v.3.4e_Order.mvn’. This is your DealMaven order file. 3. Save the order file to c:\program files\dealmaven\orders\. Note: The folder path may differ if you chose to install FastTrack to a different directory. 4. Open Excel. If prompted to connect to the internet, click ‘OK’. 5. Your product should now be fully registered and activated. You can verify that this is the case by selecting ‘Register…’ from the main ‘FastTrack’ menu in Excel. If the registration was successful, a form will be displayed with your activation code and a note stating that the registration was successful. If the registration process above was not successful: 1. Please close Excel 2. Verify that your order file (with the .mvn file extension) has been saved to the c:\program files\dealmaven\orders\ folder specified in the email (see step 2 above). 3. Open Excel and select ‘Register...’ from the main ‘FastTrack’ menu in Excel. If your name appears next to the ‘Licensee:’ label, jump to step 4. Otherwise, click on the ‘Click here to browse to DealMaven order file’ link in blue towards the top of the registration form (pictured below) and browse to the order file you saved to your computer. Your name should now appear next to the ‘Licensee:’ label. 4. Click on the ‘Register Online’ button at the bottom of the form. If your internet browser opens automatically, jump to step 5. Otherwise, click on the ‘Copy URL’ button, open an internet browser (e.g. Internet Explorer) manually the way you normally do, highlight the address bar, and simultaneously hit the keys ‘Ctrl v’. This will paste a long string of characters into your address bar. Hit ‘Enter’. 5. Your activation code should be displayed in your browser. Highlight the activation code with your mouse and copy it by using ‘Ctrl c’. 6. Return to the DealMaven FastTrack Product Registration form (select ‘Register...’ from the main ‘FastTrack’ menu in Excel to display the form if it is not already displayed) and paste the activation code into the text field provided on the form by using ‘Ctrl v’. Click ‘OK’. 7. You should receive a message stating that your product has been registered successfully.
