Product Upgrades: Retail software licenses include minor version upgrades (e.g., 3.2 to 3.4) free of charge; major version upgrades (e.g., 3.4 to 4.0) must be purchased separately. If you have purchased PresLink, please complete the following simple steps to register and obtain an activation code for your product. Please note that you must have an internet connection to complete the registration process. Please contact DealMaven if you do not have an internet connection or if you require any assistance with your product activation / registration. 1. Close both PowerPoint and Excel. 2. Locate the email you received from DealMaven with the subject "Your download of DealMaven PresLink v.3.2e is ready". Attached to the email will be a file named: PresLinkPPT_v.3.2e_Order.mvn (note: file name may differ according to PresLink version. File will always have the .mvn extension). 3. Save the PresLinkPPT_v.3.2e_Order.mvn (or similar file name depending on PresLink version) file to the c:\program files\dealmaven\orders folder. 4. Open PowerPoint. If prompted to connect to the internet to complete the registration process automatically, click ‘OK’. 5. Your product should now be fully registered. You can verify the registration by clicking PresLink | Register from the PowerPoint menu. If the registration was successful, a form will be displayed with your activation code. If the registration process above was not successful: 1. Close both PowerPoint and Excel. 2. Verify that the order file (with the .mvn file extension) has been saved to the c:\program files\dealmaven\orders folder (see step 2 above). If the .mvn file is not in the c:\program files\dealmaven\orders folder, locate the email you received from DealMaven with the subject "Your download of DealMaven PresLink v.3.2e is ready". Attached to the email will be a file named: PresLinkPPT_v.3.2e_Order.mvn (note: file name may differ according to PresLink version). Save the file to the c:\program files\dealmaven\orders folder on your computer. 3. Open PowerPoint and select PresLink | Register from the PowerPoint menu. At the top of the registration form (pictured below) click the "Browse to DealMaven order file" link. Browse to the c:\program files\dealmaven\orders folder on your computer and select the PresLinkPPT_v.3.2e_Order.mvn (note: file name may differ according to PresLink version) and click the open button. 4. Click on the ‘Register Online’ button at the bottom of the form. If your internet browser opens automatically, jump to step 5. Otherwise, click on the ‘Copy URL’ button, open an internet browser (e.g. Internet Explorer) manually the way you normally do, highlight the address bar, and simultaneously hit the keys ‘Ctrl v’. This will paste a long string of characters in your address bar. Hit ‘Enter’. 5. Your activation code should be displayed in your browser. Highlight the activation code with your mouse and copy it by using ‘Ctrl c’. 6. Return to the DealMaven PresLink Product Registration form (select ‘Register…’ from the main ‘PresLink’ menu in PowerPoint to display the form if it is not already displayed) and paste the activation code into the text field provided on the form by using ‘Ctrl c’. Click ‘OK’. 7. You should receive a message stating that your product has been registered successfully.
