Free Resources Finance and Excel Tips Excel Shortcut Key List Please complete the following steps to register and obtain an activation code for your products. Please note that you must have an internet connection to complete the registration process. Please contact DealMaven if you do not have an internet connection, or if you require any assistance with your product activation / registration. 1. Please close Excel, PowerPoint and Word 2. Locate the email you received from DealMaven with the subject "Your download of the DealMaven Productivity Suite v.3.2e is ready". Attached to the email will be a file named ‘productivity_suite_v.3.2e_Order.mvn’. This is your DealMaven order file. 3. Save the order file to c:\program files\dealmaven\orders\. Note: The folder path may differ if you chose to install the Productivity Suite in a different directory. 4. Open Excel. You should receive a prompt for each of the three Productivity Suite products (FastTrack, Modeling ToolPack, XLink) asking if you'd like to connect to the internet. Click the ‘OK’ button for each. You will receive a confirmation that the registration was successful for each product. 5. Open PowerPoint and Word and click the 'OK' button when prompted to connect tp the internet to register PresLink. 6. Your products should now be fully registered and activated. You can verify that this is the case by selecting ‘Register...’ from each of the product menus in Excel, PowerPoint and Word. If the registration was successful, a form will be displayed with your activation code. If the registration process above was not successful: 1. Please close Excel 2. Verify that your order file (with the .mvn file extension) has been saved to the c:\program files\dealmaven\orders folder specified in the email (see step 2 above). 3. Open Excel and select ‘Register...’ from each of the product menus in Excel (FastTrack, Modeling ToolPack and XLink). If your name appears next to the ‘Licensee:’ label, jump to step 4. Otherwise, click on the ‘Browse to DealMaven order file’ link in blue towards the top of the registration form (pictured below) and browse to the order file (productivity_suite_v.3.2e_Order.mvn) you saved to your computer. Your name should now appear next to the ‘Licensee:’ label. 4. Click on the ‘Register Online’ button at the bottom of the form. If your internet browser opens automatically, jump to step 5. Otherwise, click on the ‘Copy URL’ button, open an internet browser (e.g. Internet Explorer) the way you normally do, highlight the address bar, and simultaneously hit the keys ‘Ctrl v’. This will paste a long string of characters into your address bar. Hit ‘Enter’. 5. Your activation code should be displayed in your browser. Highlight the activation code with your mouse and copy it by using ‘Ctrl c’. 6. Return to the Registration form in Excel (select ‘Register...’ from the product menu in Excel to display the form if it is not already displayed) and paste the activation code into the activation code field provided. Click ‘OK’. 7. You should receive a message stating that your product has been registered successfully. 8. Use the steps above in PowerPoint and Word to fully register PresLink.
